Third revision (Yellow) draft, dated 1 December 1998 (the episode aired on 5 January 1999). For the most part this is identical to the episode as aired, with only a few cut lines here and there. Be sure to check out the note at the head of the script.

Final draft (Yellow), dated 3 November 1998 (the episode aired on 15 December 1998). There are a great many lines and parts of scenes in this draft that were omitted from the broadcast episode, much to its detriment. Aside from all else, we learn Kim's last name here.

Season 1.1: Pilot episode [Oct. 12th, 2008|11:31 am]

This is an early draft of the Pilot script, dated 12 January 1998 (the pilot episode aired on 22 September 1998), and differs substantially from the version we know and love. Dan is Dan Rosen; Natalie is Natalie Rydell; JJ is a 'staffer'; Isaac is in his 50s and doesn't think Ntozake Nelson's a good story; Casey's eight-year-old son is named 'Charley'; and everyone but Dan knows that Casey's planning to leave. There are whole chunks that we've lost, many of which would have been wonderful to see, while some familiar lines are missing altogether and others are spoken by different characters.

But Helsinki is still in Finland.
